Its been a while, hasn’t it. Sorry.
Well I’ve completely fallen apart since I last posted. Literally. After taking Ben home to meet the parents for the first time, this was a raging success by the way. Came back to Chi and ended up missing the first day back at because I was in so much pain with my back. I was so bad, I went to A&E. Ryan came with me, total babe. Anyway, sat there for a few hours and finally got told my symptoms sounded like a prolapsed disc and sciatica. Not they could do anything, obviously. Just prescribed me tramadol. Super strong painkillers that turn me into a nauseous, high, sleepy mess. Not the greatest thing when approaching the exams for your first year at uni.
Well I’ve now been seen by specialists who have guessed at a bulging disc from my symptoms, once again, no scans to confirm this. Was sent for physio, which hardly made any difference whatsoever. Finally managed to beat the specialists into submission, with a little help from my fabulous Mum, and got myself an MRI (extremely unpleasant as I hate small spaces) and booked in for an epidural and cortisone injections into my spine in May. YAY!
But it isn’t all doom and gloom. I’ve managed to keep up with my uni work, just about. I’ve moved in with Ben, god bless him, cause I do drive him completely crazy sometimes. And thank God I have, cause I wouldn’t cope anywhere near as well as I am without him or his housemates. I aced my first lab report, now aiming to smash out the next two. As well as my first essay for Sports Injury. Ben is now officially a member of the TA, as you can imagine, I’m incredibly proud of him. He really has worked so hard for it.
Currently dress shopping for the wedding we’re going to in the summer. It’s one of my best friends, Lewis, who is more like a big brother to me, and his gorgeous finance and friend, Caz. Gonna be such a lovely day. Really cannot wait. However, I can wait to go suit shopping with Ben. Lord help me!!
